Lent

Today is my third day of Lent and its tough not eating until six and then still not being able to eat meat.  Also giving up liquor but I can say that I have prayed more in they last few days then in a years time.  I wonder should I feel bad about that?  Well it feels good to make a sacrifice for my Lord my Savior.  I had to sit down and explain to my son why I haven't been eating he understands but as the days go on it gets easier.  I think I'll be able to do this more often like every Wednesday and Friday.  A way to be closer to God I'm okay with that.
